For someone who just started a couple of months ago. Finally had my best run around 27-minutes today, but still seems like a struggle to make progress.

9 minutes/mile is a comfortable pace. I take it you were mostly jogging with the occasional run but never a full on sprint.

Edit: And yes, making progress is so much tougher than it sounds. Youll find that taking off 2 minutes permanently from your current time will take months.

I'd be impressed if you could complete 3 miles in anything under 24 minutes, so 8 min a mile average.

24 is actually my goal. I honestly could keep running for distance, but really want to get my pace up first.
