Eric Ebatarintja escaped Darwin Correctional Centre at Holtze in the Northern Territory at around 9pm last night after he removed his electronic monitoring device. Mr Ebatarintja was being held in a low security cottage, but was not a serving prisoner. [ IMG] He had been detained under the serious sex offenders act as he was deemed a danger to the community. Members of the public have been advised not to approach the escaped man as he has been described as 'hypersexual'. It was pointed out that he relies on large doses of anti-psychotic and anti-libidinal medication to control his sex drive.
