I played past the first mako reactor so far (so beginning still)

Its also my first time playing the game

Its really just a matter of whether you are okay with spending almost $20 to play FF7 on your phone

Also theres a lot of virtual buttons on the screen. Unlike earlier ff games I guess the control setup was too complicated to just have a virtual joypad and one tap action/menu buttons

Square IOS ports are pretty good. I have V, VI, VII, Tactics, and IX and they are all easily playable. Not easier of course but I havent run into any real issues except with tactics tile selection. This is on a 6 s plus. Smaller screens maybe a little more annoying

Anyway, definitely play tactics as well. Its my favorite of the ones on iOS and way the game is designed is definitely very compatible with intermittent mobile gaming.

The games periodically go on sale so if you arent in a rush you might wait. I got most of them half off.

Its not like FF6 where they fucked with the graphics. From what I can tell its the same game as PS1 just with virtual buttons (idk if theres a way to make them less intrusive)

no it's really the updated models on the mods

it even does to the playable characters outside of battles too (where they look even more like Legos)

The console version, a PC port, or some other handheld version.

Real buttons, better controls and UIs, visual and aural fidelity, higher/no battery limit, more processing power, etc.

Real buttons are subjective, control is game dependent, UI is usually the same, phone audio and video quality is pretty damn good, battery life you got me, dont need processing power for a 20 year old game, etc. + convenience
