Ok, biiig trigger warning here.
So, a gay couple notice that a father is ignoring his offspring, so they kidnap it, and the father doesn't seem to care. The mother returns home, understandably freaks out and starts searching, but deadbeat dad can't be arsed to help. Good news though, authorities were eventually able to reunite the family.
