I guess the guy got busted with cp four months ago but the cops never arrested him and he is still working at the job. I guess he has something in his contract that if they fire him he gets a good sized severance package.

What I want to know is why the cops have not arrested him.

Probably struck a deal.

Hell there's a guy in Canada that killed and partially ate someone, and served little to no time for it.

Well he did spend several years in a mental institution but yes it was bullshit that he was released.

You need to be arrested before they strike a deal.

How do you know he even got in trouble? Something doesn't add up.

Did he get arrested or not? To get a deal, he would need to be charged, which would require an arrest, an arraignment, a grand jury, and so fourth. A plea deal would also be public record.

It's possible the cops showed up, he got a arrested, but the DA/County Prosecutor determined there wasn't enough to charge. That is not a plea deal.

Or the cops showed up, and they didn't feel there was enough going on to arrest. That is also not a deal, as cops do not have the authority to cut deals -- corruption aside.

So, if he got charged and cut a deal, he's got a criminal record. If he didn't get charged and/or arrested, he didn't break the law.

From what I know someone this guy works with took a flash drive from his briefcase and ended up finding cp on it. That guy then brought it to the police and they showed up the next day to take him in for questioning and the guy came back a few hours later and gave the police his laptop and cell phones and that was it.

edit: removed joke post because this is kind of a serious topic.

so based on what i'm reading, you can't even go into your county court system and look this guy up because there's nothing on him? would him being requested to come in for questioning be there?

No, I am pretty sure just being questioned would not be there.

So they investigated him and found no evidence of wrong doing then. He wasn't busted for anything.

Sounds like they either didn't find anything or they're still investigating and haven't gotten to charging him yet.

Who knows what kind of backlog the police station's computer forensics might have. His laptop might still be sitting in an evidence bag waiting to be processed.
