magic is great on the first level of difficulty.

specifically sloth and weakness. those get less useful on harder difficulty

good game :3. i think i remember the leveling up or upgrading system being kind of weird and obtuse but it didnt stop me from finishing and enjoying the game.

its mostly just the bosses thatll work ya over. oh also use the weapon thats like a yo-yo with blades i forget what its called

Sloth was op for bosses, but i think they nerfed it.

get the thing that lets you dispel the things if you time a dodge right for all stances asap

These big ass army dudes in the iron suits look intimidating. Dunno if I should try and kill them lol

Wow it would have been useful if they let me try all of these weapons prior to choosing my preferred one. Instead of just 3 of them lol I might go dual sword but kusarigama seems fun too

you can get books of resurrection for a quick respec if you don't like your build

So I stopped playing pretty early yesterday cuz my friend hopped on Dead by daylight lol but I played a little more today and got to the second shrine. Moving at a snail's pace here. I just figured out the ninja and samurai skill trees. Pretty daunting list tbh. I'm leaning towards a ninja focus with the chain blade as my main weapon and the dual swords as my secondary. Dunno what to do in terms of a build but this game is pretty fun so far.

If you're going dual blades then you can spin 2 win most things. Also get the skill for it where you charge it then do a fast forward dash while slashing. With positioning, those two can carry you for most of the game.

I really loved the game. Dark Souls fanboys give it too much flak and I love Dark Souls myself. It's a great hybrid of DS, Ninja Gaiden and Diablo.

Agree. It was probably my goty and Im so hyped we're getting a 2nd. Dark Souls is probably my favorite series but I fuckin love how Nioh did it's own thing with the combat. The lack of unique enemies was pretty much my only complaint

I'll go through the skill tree and see what you're talking about. I think I like the kusarigama more than the dual swords though. I'm able to take down 5 dudes at once with that thing. Seems OP af.

Why? You don't have to use it in the middle of battle to win but you get more choices....how can you not like more options? Just don't use them if you don't want to.

Can't see why. It adds variety. I like the combat in this game more than the Dark Souls games easily tbh. Feels more fleshed out and a lot more fun, while being a lot more fair.
