Hitting is a part of Asian culture in general. Most parents still beat their kids. I was watching a TVB drama recently called "The Stunt" and the dad fucking slaps his 8 year old across the face and the kid falls down. In American TV, this dad would be like a major villain or some shit. But guess what? The dad is the main character, and he's considered loving and passionate and he only slapped the kid because he loved him. (wanted him to do well in school)

I remember hearing something about Japanese(or maybe Korean) mothers locking their kids outside as a way disciplining them. Like they're abandoning them. I'm talking about kids as young as 3-6 years old. Seems pretty fucked up tbh.

Doesn't matter if it's a part of their culture, it's unacceptable and they need to be made or forced to change this aspect of their culture. We can't accept blatant disregard for child abuse in first world countries, and if they want to be one they need to get with the program first.
