This is the letter, posted on Facebook, from a woman who knew Kavanaugh, Judge and Blasey Ford and claims that the attack did happen, that "many of us heard about it in school," and that it was talked about for days afterward.
The FBI should interview her and others.

She can't testify under oath and claim it happened unless she saw it. The point is it was a rumor that everyone heard of. In other words, it's not just some random fabrication.

She can't testify under oath and claim it happened unless she saw it. The point is it was a rumor that everyone heard of. In other words, it's not just some random fabrication.

She doesn't even want to claim it was a rumor, though. She said she felt "empowered" by her friend and said it gave her confidence, but she won't repeat ANYTHING under oath. This is as specific as she'll go now:

she remembers that there was a "buzz" that went around the weekend of the party in question about an alleged incident involving students from her school and Kavanaugh's.

"In my [Facebook] post, I was empowered and I was sure it probably did [happen]," Miranda told NPR. "I had no idea that I would now have to go to the specifics and defend it before 50 cable channels and have my face spread all over MSNBC news and Twitter."

Miranda said staff from the Senate Judiciary Committee had reached out to her, something she was not expecting. She said she will not go through with a committee interview if asked.

She just wanted to defend her friend, which is fine, but she did so by taking what she vaguely remembers was a rumor about something happening between students from 2 schools and turned that into confirmation that a specific thing happened, which she had to immediately backpedal from as soon as she realized it wasn't anything more than that.

Nobody ever claimed it was a rumor that started this year given the woman's therapist notes dated back to 2012. The point is that there's still nothing backing up the woman's claim of exactly what happened. She can't remember the place, or when it happened, or how she got there, and her only witness said it didn't happen, and her friend now can't remember anything beyond "yea, I think I remember a rumor about something happening". The therapist's notes actively contradict the woman's story, and at no point does anyone have confirmation that Kavanaugh himself was actually there, nor does his name appear in the therapy notes.

The witness said it didnt happen because he would be an accessory to rape if he said it did happen and he did NOTHING to stop it.

We were more than willing to take the fact that she had a witness to confirm it all as proof until the witness said "yea, that's not what happened" and now suddenly "well OF COURSE he wouldn't tell the truth."

Just face it: this whole thing is a giant act of political theater done at the last second by democrats desperate to prevent a nomination.

The fact that the woman now refuses to speak under oath herself, AFTER her lawyer explicitly demanded that congress let her do just that, just cements this fact.

Yes, it's really bad to call someone a rapist without evidence. Everyone seems in agreement on that. The accusation can ruin someone's public reputation and follow them around even if it later turns out untrue.

Sonic flat out called Doom Art a rapist

To be more specific: Doom flat out called Kavanaugh a rapist, and I replied to his post (with his quote visible) calling him one. Everyone had a meltdown but Doom and I worked it out. Doom amended his post to call Kavanaugh an alleged rapist because it turns out it's really shitty to call someone a rapist without evidence, and I apologized and did a favor for Doom.

Shock and Bio have been bringing it up for days now because they still don't realize I was just doing exactly what they have been doing, and it seriously rustled their jimmies to have their own shitty behavior turned back on them.

I also have been avoiding explicitly mentioning Doom because he's got enough real life shit to deal with right now. EDIT: So go ahead and flip out on me all you want, but I would prefer that you not drag him back into this, since we worked it out between each other and he should be resting right now.
