Current Events > Dynasty Warrior fans, a question.

I'm debating getting into the series. I have played two Warriors games in the past, one I adored and one I hated. I can see some vague similarities but they're mostly completely different games.

So my question, which is the actual Dynasty Warriors series most like:

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage

OR

Hyrule Warriors

?

i have played all of em including the xtreme editions
minus dynasty warriors 9.

still missing 2-4 more for dynasty warriors series not counting the vita.

Kens is rather stiff. Hyrule is much better of the two unless you hate zelda or love fotns

I actually preferred Ken's Rage because it didn't feel like a giant escort mission.

Ken's Rage made you feel like one man taking on an army. Hyrule Warriors made me feel like one man trying to get shit done while making sure your own army didn't kill itself. Not to mention the way they handled unlockables.

havent tried it, but I heard the latest DW was straight doo-doo which is unfortunate cause Ive been playing since like DW4

LoL it's not that bad. The army killing itself thing is kind of a defacto time limit to the engagement.

If you want, you can try Fire Emblem Warriors where your army always wins if it has a triangle advantage and you have to shuffle them around a bit.

The main series is much more like hyrule than kens. Normal series has you runnin around killing captains while protecting your commander and base.

I loved Ken's Rage, but the Zelda motif is the only thing keeping me going in HW.

You might want to try Dragon Quest Heroes. Its more action rpg styled warriors game. 2 even more so.

Id say only a 3rd of missions has you protecting something.

I have been considering checking that out when it comes to Switch. I do love Dragon Quest.

Its been out a while. Switch has its own dual pack. I think the games are very good and are a unique twist on the warriors formula.

They arnt out....never mind. Thats jpn release.
