CommanderSouth 09/19/18 2:19:12 PM #1:	So I was having a discussion with my wife and she mentioned something that I think was an issue for me, she called it the "Toy Story Effect" I personally have issues with moving between technologies or splitting across ecosystems. I think this is a huge reason I am an Apple fan, I can use iCloud for photos, music, synchronization and everything is tied together. If I use Android and need to use, say, T-Mobile Visual voicemail instead of being able to use the built in samsung vvm, I get frustrated. I also feel bad when I use Firefox rather than Chrome as I am not committing to use all the Google tools to meet my needs. In the same way, I resist using OneNote for some of my school notes and Squid for handwritten notes as I am "betraying" one or the other. It gets particularly annoying in terms of consoles, I have a PS4 to play WWII, BF5, etc with my brother in FL, but that is mostly all I use it for. I resist buying games on PC now that I have a laptop as I "should" be using the PS4, same with the Switch, it would fit well into our lives, but then I am splitting further apart. My wife mentioned that I am basically humanizing my tools and then feeling guilt when moving between them. Has anyone else had this issue, or know of any good documentation on the subject? Likely I will want to go to a therapist, or just deal, but I was curious if there was anything I could read on the topic.
