Try a different therapist. Just because the person you're seeing has that job title doesn't mean they're any good. People have this weird assumption that professionals in other careers are flawless when it's painfully obvious in their own that most people are mediocre at their job.

At some point, with or without therapy, you WILL have to make an effort to try feel "whatever you're in therapy for" (whether it's happiness or something else).

Keep going, whether it's with this therapist or another one.

Are you putting in the work or do you just expect that going to therapy is enough and everything should just fall into place without making any changes?

Ive tried, and done some but I just dont have the willpower or energy anymore.

Speak to your therapist about, see if they can perhaps find ways to help slowly build you into it. Or perhaps make a list of things you can do and see if any friends/family your trust can help you with keeping up with things you're working on.

It can be hard doing what you do, and you shouldn't feel shame for it. Something most people who do it go through, but you can overcome it. It takes time, and they know this, so don't feel bad about that either, or taking resources away from others. You need what you need, and is simple as that. Take and ask for what you need to get better as you fully deserve all that can be given.

Nah mate.

Taxes that go to this are specifically to help those that need it (people like you, in this case) and even if you don't agree with you pay taxes don't you? So paying for this service anyway and as such have a right to access to it (and would anyway, seeing as a person who has a right to be able to access health care)

And a year isn't that long really. Can take many longer, so don't feel bad if the progress is slow.

Ba grt.
