I legit don't know her origin, but I assume they're not going to go with "abduction" since they already used that for Star Lord. I guess she'll be sent into space as part of a vanguard team, probably on Fury's orders, and she'll get captured and brainwashed/tortured and dumped back on earth to act as a double agent? That would also support the "see why she's a hero" line if they start her off as a pseudo-villain. Either way it'll probably be fine, but it looks like its not taking any risks and playing it super straight, and those are usually the most boring of the Marvel movies. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. Look at Jon Watt (Homecoming director), he only directed two movies; one was alright at best and the other was this shitty clown horror movie. Or getting Peyton Reed, of all people to take over Ant-Man. He had no experience in action movies and his last decent movie before then was Bring It On back in 2000.
