Do you earn more leave if you work overtime?

In Australia we have 4 weeks paid time off, and sometimes more if we work overtime instead of more money.

It varies from company to company but there's only 6 major holidays in America. I'd say most companies give around 8-9 off a year though.

There is no standard for paid vacation or leave, depends where you work.

tbh I'm not even sure how many days since I don't really plan on using them anyway.

I know it's like 3 weeks, plus I do get all federal holidays off.

I did take 2 paid days off on a whim to go see friends some months ago, but I'd have done regardless of whether it was paid.

I get 6 holidays and 3 floating holidays off, and I get a month of vacation.

With the company I work at it depends on how long you've worked there. I'm currently at 3 weeks of paid time off plus 2 personal days. I get an extra day of pay for Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, New Years and 4th of July but I don't usually get an extra day off.

I work at a casino which is open 24/7 so we do not get any holidays off by default. I can take the days off with my accrued PTO, which I usually do in order to stay home with my kids, because the daycare is closed on most holidays. I work in the back-of-house so I dont have to worry about my time off requests being denied.

Before this, I worked at a call center for 7 years that was also open on holidays, but I didnt have kids then so I typically just worked all those holidays, which would earn me time-and-a-half PTO for working. There were a few years where I cleared 35days of PTO due to that policy.
