Fuck yeah. Estimated cost of building the BFR and sending us to the moon is ~5 billion. That isn't the cost per ship. It's the cost to develop. So each ship will be significantly cheaper than that.

does anyone actually gives a fuck about some dumb libel suit and elon losing his cool? he's already expressed regret over his engagement with twitter on jre. seems more like the underlying motive is for cynics to watch this guy fail as well. the company is literally bringing humans back to the moon and possibly the only thing keeping the united states on top of the space race. i swear this board is the same demographic tabloids subsist off of.

Idk where this Elon hate started or why, but it's crazy that someone who is so successful and has the noblest intentions of any billionaire has had the public turn on him so suddenly. But a guy like Jeff Bezos, who even tried to do what Musk did with SpaceX but didn't even come close and is motivated by profits and profits alone is praised. Lol Bezos was even looking to develop cages for his employees to work in and even patented it before someone let him know how evil that sounded. Talk about out of touch... Hell he relies on his employees being able to collect welfare benefits so that he can pay them so little. All while doing his best to pay as little taxes as possible and accepting as much corporate welfare as he can buy with campaign donations.

First off, how has he not earned having a high opinion of himself? If he's not allowed to be proud of his accomplishments and think highly of himself, literally no one is. But that's beside the point that you're clearly making that up. He's displayed unnecessary levels of humility for someone as successful as he is.

It wasn't just "criticism" he received from that diver it was flat out insults. The British guy didn't just say "thanks but no thanks" or even "you don't know what you're talking about, there's no chance this could work" he said it was a PR stunt and told him to shove it up his ass. There's no reason to believe Musk didn't genuinely want to help these kids, nor is there any logic to it being a PR stunt. And I bet that you totally accepted the accusation of it being a PR stunt as a fact despite 0 evidence whatsoever, unlike the pedo accusation and the claims about his employees working conditions.

You say he can't take criticism despite being criticized about literally everything he's ever attempted let alone accomplished and taken it in stride. Plus he was criticized and doubted by everyone when be started SpaceX, including the astronauts that inspired him, and everyone told him he was incapable of pulling it off. Well he was right and they were all wrong. So maybe it's just incorrect criticism he has a problem with, which is true for everyone. And to say he doesnt have an endearing personality because of two things that aren't indicative of his personality at all shows you're clearly just another person who jumped on the hate train, especially when he's quite clearly someone we should be looking up to. Even if his pedo accusation was completely unfounded, which no one was even investigated, that doesn't define him or erase all of his accomplishments nor his desire to use his abilities and resources to benefit humanity.
