Law would get automated rather easily, except for a few roles and functions.

Meaning the entire earth population would compete for doctor and engineer jobs. Few people would have a job!

okay then why even have taxes at all?

why should even one cent of my money be spent on something I don't want it to be spent on?

Because the gov't is making you pay for living on their land, in their system, and using their resources. That's what taxes are. Taxes are then used on things that are beneficial to the country like infrastructure and military.

No they don't. If someone's on a meat-free, bread-free, dairy-free diet of fruits and vegetables, sleeps enough, and exercises enough, they won't get cancer. They certainly won't get sick.

A guy named "Knowledge_King" made this post.

That's facts though so...

I own my own land and if I want maintained infrastructure, I'll get a capitalist private company to maintain it for a negotiated fee.

Other robots would do that.

What would really not be handled by robots is art. We'd need humans to write books, make movies, video games, etc.

Oh and my dystopian cyberpunk idea is based on this. It's hundreds of years into humans not really working, AI and robots handle essential stuff, and people turn to mind-bending drugs and sex and shit to live life and eventually just lose their humanity.

What happens in Megaman X and Professor Layton would be more likely. Robots become self-aware and start a revolution.

One would think a hypothetical society capable of reaching 100% or near 100% level of automation would be beyond using money.

Due to the nature of computing this isnt possible.

To me that's a worn out idea. My idea deals with what would happen if things ran perfectly right. The machines or AI never malfunction, never fuck up, they do their job TOO good. Humanity loses all drive and is medicated into comfort and start to lose their soul.

I don't see how that would be possible unless on top of performing all of our jobs for us, robots learned how to invent and innovate and be creative. Because a robot can do what you tell it to better than a human can. But a robot cannot think up the best thing to tell a robot to do better than humans can. When we are able to program robots to be curious and creative, that's when well officially be obsolete.

By building up a better immune system that doesn't develop said cancer. Same way it stops all the other diseases and cancer.

Immune systems don't fight against cancer.

They do.

And your example was just the (local) gov't being assholes. Doesn't mean they won't tax you on your land and if you fail to pay it, they won't take it from you. Especially the feds.

Lmao. Call me when they have t1000's that can crawl around a building, diagnose, and fix HVAC problems then I'll start worrying.

But yeah if you work from a desk then I'd probably be worried too.

They absolutely do.

Our cells become damaged over time and one function of our immune system is to survey for damage and can "tag" cells to "self-destruct" (i.e. apoptosis) if the damage is too severe.

One simple way of viewing cancer is specific mutations that remove the mechanism by which damaged cells can destroy themselves is lost. As well as potential other mutations that unregulate growth. Combined, this leads to damaged cells with no "brake pedal" to speak of continuously grow with no end. And the cancer that manifests as clinical disease are due to cancers that typically can evade the immune system's means of destroying the cells.

Over the course of your life you absolutely will have an indeterminate number of "precancerous" or even cancerous cells that are dealt with by your immune system that you wouldn't ever know about. There are certain cancers that wouldn't ever manifest in a person with a healthy immune system, and their presence basically is an "AIDS defining illness" in the setting of being HIV+.

It's why the new direction in cancer therapies are monoclonal antibodies and there is such an emphasis on genetic testing to determine susceptibility of certain tumors to respond to basically a pharmacological, targeted version of human immune systems.
