Wtf Ann and Chris leave the show? That just straight up depressed me, not unlike Chris's own depression that he was battling with Dr Richard Nygar.

They added jerry and donna to the opening instead? That is just... ew. Jerry? Seriously showrunners?

I mean they left halfway through the season, it's really only the second half that goes downhill a little bit.

I enjoyed 7 as well, and without spoilers I'll say it wraps itself up nicely. Great ending to a show rather than going on well after its expiration date.

The plots feel recycled, although merging Eagleton with Pawnee was a pretty interesting choice. Since Ann moved on, I wish Leslie would take that job offer in Chicago and move on as well. How exactly does she want to be president if she never leaves Pawnee after all.

I'd say just power through it. Season 7 is fresh (you'll see why) and it's only 13 episodes so it doesn't feel like it's dragging on.

I keep shifting between finding the new guy Craig's yelling shtick to be annoying to tiresome. I don't know why he wasn't just a one off character like the rest of the eagleton crowd.

He's literally like that character from this old warner bros/disney short, you know the one that always yells?

Also his lazy eye makes me uncomfortable. Not TV character uncomfortable, like real world uncomfortable. But on the other hand, I have seen the humor in some of his scenes when characters react to him. So I still waver there.

Which reminds me you know what scene I loved? When Ron is doing baby voices with his son and leslie pops back in saying what was that and Ron is like ahem nothing just clearing my throat. That was adorable XD .

So still some good scenes in season 6, but Ann and Chris leaving really was a gut punch I was not prepared for, even though they hinted at it. I guess I was like Leslie, completely in denial that they would do that. Also always found the "Ann wanting a baby all of a sudden" storyline weird and coming out of nowhere so thought there was something to that but I guess not.

Things definitely seem like they're progressing so I'm no longer worried, I mean the finale is coming up and there's just the final season left. I wish they'd saved Chris and Ann leaving there instead of the middle of season 6 (why didn't they wait for the s6 finale if not the final season?)

But I'm confident they'll handle it well. Losing steam for me just basically means it no longer feels like the greatest tv comedy of all time that the previous seasons were, just a really good tv comedy that's leagues better than most.

when they made Season 6 they weren't sure if they'd be renewed for one last one or not so they made it so it could work as a final season if it had to but they could still do a proper finale if they got Season 7

I thought season 6 was the actual end because it seemed like it and I think at the time it wasn't on netflix.

Recently watched season 7 and honestly thought it was absolute trash. Felt like nothing happened

It really was. I actually feel like it moved too fast, like I'd totally want to see more of their future lives, but what we got was amazing and this has been an amazing marathon of parks and rec.
