The title screen was super lazy. That was the very first thing I took note of less than a minute in.

How bad was it? I think I best want to describe it as sloppy and mediocre. I didn't think the entire thing was terrible or good awful or anything, but I didn't think it was good either. As a Shane Black fan, I was pretty disappointed but there are times where you see sparks of his style pop in. The comedy was pretty hit or miss, it got a genuine laugh out of me here and there. I like the dialogue between the characters but I think the characters could've had a bit more to them. A lot of the action scenes we're not planned out very good; in between the excessive cuts you got characters standing around doing nothing while all this action is going down. But overall, I didn't regret watching it or anything. It kept my attention throughout. And I wish they could have gave the kid a bit more personality or something. I kept thinking back on the Nice Guys (another Shane Black movie) where the little girl that played Ryan Gosling's daughter was great throughout. I have a feeling some studio meddling was at play.
