He's been given steroids to hopefully live comfortably for the next 1-2 months but once he starts showing signs of discomfort/pain he's gonna have to be put down. The only alternative is chemo but even in the best case scenario it'd only prolong his life another year, likely less than that. And probably not a fun last year for him to have. As guilty as I feel about it, for the price i just can't justify it. Anyways just wanted to unload here because I feel awful and need to vent. kingdrake2 09/13/18 8:33:39 PM #4:	condolences. i faced the same situation but with my cat blowing up like a balloon because of a tumor. i didn't know what was wrong for a month or two but after seeing my cat having breathing problems i decided she couldn't take it anymore so i had to bring her in to the vet to confirm it. 2 options were given: either remove the fluid and buy days/weeks to live with the same thing happening again or put her to sleep. had to go with the 2nd option i refuse to let a pet suffer. she lived 10 years a decent life but seeing your situation i wished your's lived longer. --- I'm pretty much Stu from Rugrats making pudding at 4 in morning because I've lost control of my life - Polycosm <cite>kingdrake2 posted [p:908701060] in My kitten ... It's beyond most peoples' means and just not worth it to put your pet through being sick all the time just to maybe buy them a few extra months. Just love him and give him a warm comfy home.
