VipaGTS posted... funny, when i was in school i never had to prepare for a murderer running in and shooting at my classmates...the fact that we have to now have a drill for this, seemingly normalizing the event is terrible. Neither a tornado nor atom bomb ever tore up my school, but we practiced for such anyway. i didn't know they sold tornadoes down at the local store. They don't sell school shooters either no, they just sell guns to them... Actually, most school shooters steal the guns they use from their first victims. A bit dramatic but I remember it having an effect. Its more engaging and impactful than some drill where just an alarm goes off and you walk around outside or having some talk in the auditorium. It's usually a student and they're probably going to be familiar with how the school handles those situations if they're running drills all the time. It's kind of like fire drills. The fire knows to engulf the exits in flames first because that's where people run to.
