Meanwhile Guy 3 is doing the only thing useful here and saying "worse than Thor 1 and Thor 2?" Bok_Choi 09/12/18 11:56:30 AM #3:	The only people who actually had a hard time watching Black Panther were the people who were overly conscious of the fact that it was going to, and did, heavily star black actors. There's nothing to not like about it. The plot is your standard "usurper to the throne" plot, it was done pretty much to the standard. There's nothing wrong there. The pacing was good. Cinematic quality/cinematography was pretty fucking great except for some kinda crappy CG work in places (that's most movies tho) The acting was terrific; the world-building was on point. Aesthetics were beautiful The humor sometimes was forced but well delivered to a mostly millenial and gen z audience It's a good movie Like actually a well-produced, well-directed film beyond being entertaining as a blockbuster. Especially when you add the perspective of Black Americans today into the mix. It's not just a blockbuster; it's very well its own cultural achievement. That's not to say it's a fucking Citizen Kane - but it's a good film.
