Wanna get down to 180 so I have like 20 more pounds to lose. I figure I can manage it in the next 2 months at least. Anyone else try keto? Any tips?

I mostly just completely cut out all bread and sugar. I eat vegetables, and meat mostly now with some strawberries and blueberries occasionally. I don't really pay all that much attention to macros or anything. But mostly everyday I eat a lot of meat and avacados and broccoli and stuff like that.

that sounds less like a keto diet and more like low carb and high protein. are you making about 70% of your daily caloric intake come from fats?

I've lost 42 pounds in 2 months this summer without even being in ketosis. Low carb sugar free lectin free grain free diets are effective. Pair that with a 2-6 hour eating window and you can almost eat as much as you want. Havent been counting any of my calories. But even with some of the keto recipes and higher fat stuff I'm eating I find an average protein high fiber low carb low fat sugar free diet is going to cut fat. Regardless of actually being in ketosis or eating more fats. Especially if your a fatty. I can go 5 days without eating while I train everyday and my blood pressure and blood work is perfect. Don't even worry about keto or ketosis.

I think so I eat alot of cheese as well. I'm definitely not eating more than 120 grams of protein per day which is recommended for keto at my weight.

Yeah I've also been kind of doing IF as well. Sometimes I'll eat twice in a day, but mostly I've only been eating once a day. I also was directly measuring my calories like the first month and I was actually having trouble just eating 1500. When I saw that it said I need to eat 2800 per day just to maintain my weight, my mind kind of got blown after the first 2 weeks when I realized I was eating that much everyday. Now I'm struggling just to break 1800 and I'm never really hungry. I think IF and ketosis really helps curb hunger. The only problem I had with hunger at all was like the first 2 days

Are you pretty overweight? Do you get concerned about the prospects of your skin not having time to adjust to your bodily changes?

I only mention this because there have been some people who have lost weight at this kind of rate only to be faced with loose skin from losing too fast which kind of fed into problems relating to their self image.

Ive gone from 325 to 200 pounds with no loose skin issues. I needed surgery for them to suck the little pockets of fat out of my nipples because my man boobs got too big from all the weight gain.

I was 232, now I'm down to 200. I'm 6'0 so I'm still about 25 pounds overweight. I really just wanna get down to like 180 and then focus on working out to actually build more muscle. If I was my current weight and with a lot of muscle and low body fat I don't think I'd be very overweight at all anymore. I just need to get my body fat percent down now mostly.
