I don't know a lot about Naomi Osaka, but it says she is part Haitian and the article mentions racism and Serena being policed for blackness. Isn't most of Haiti also black? The picture makes it look like she is darker than most Japanese, so I am assuming she is maybe half black/half Japanese, but again I don't know a lot about her.

This. I don't understand how Serena calling the chair ump a thief for penalizing her an entire fucking game, while classic heroes like McEnroe and Agassi are beloved for verbally berating refs on the court with little reprimanding, doesn't qualify her as a victim.

Ramos is apparently well known for being a bit of a pedantic dick, and most of the top mens players have run afoul of him at one time or another. But really, anybody labelling him a sexist for applying the rules correctly to the greatest womens player of all time has a screw loose (especially given that he's hit Djoko and Murray with code violations for similar infractions in the past couple years).

I don't hold anything against Serena for being a bad loser. Most of the greats are. But calling Ramos sexist is seriously impugning the reputation of a man who's done nothing whatsoever to deserve it, and (given her prominence) opened the door to similar treatment from her millions of supporters. She's also tarnishing the movement for tackling actual sexism in sports, by associating it with her histrionic nonsense. Unless she comes out with an apology in the next couple days, I'll have permanently lost a lot of respect for her. And given that there are plenty of morons willing to tell her she's a national hero for doing what she did, I kinda doubt that'll be forthcoming.

Lets face it, youre just purposely looking for pedantic points to mock the TC instead of posting something remotely having anything to do with the topic.
