They got the dog after getting PTSD from the attack as Lona and Joseph Johnson from Washington State were on Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in October where a gunman killed nearly 60 people and injured hundreds of others. They bought a labradoodle Jax following the attack with their anxiety and stress But early Sunday Morning, they reported hearing gunshots in their rural northwest Washington Community and 49 y/o Odin Maxwell shot dead their dog and is now charged with recklessly discharging a firearm!! He said the dog was chasing his CHICKENS but investigators found no evidence that any chickens were hurt and it is assumed he killed the dog for simpling walking on his land!! The Johnsons used the to comfort them and their 2 children who weren't at the concert but saw the news and knew their parents were shot at Joseph said "He was such a blessing. He gave us something to look forward to. I really believe Jax was a big part of our healing. I don't see how anyone could see him as threateneing" Odin is a Workers Compensation LAWYER and declined to comment and he's never had any beef with the Johnsons prior to this. Ironically, when a chicken walked on their property, their nephew RETURNED it to him just days after their dog was KILLED!!
