There are Gerudos.

There are Ritos and Gorons. And of course the Hylians.

Every race has their own place to live. Their own culture.

They can be friends.

They can interact.

They can have some people living in another race's town once in a while.

But that's it.

Gerudos can't be Gorons. The heat is unbearable over there and they'd just die. Hylians can't be Ritos. You need to be able to fly.

That's how it is.

Every race is clearly defined and separate. No confusion.

They don't have to hate each other. Of course not. There can be friendship and harmony.

But they're separate.

Yes. Hes the one that wouldnt accept Link as a hero because he was Hylian based on previous Hylian behavior. He was the one you needed to find the lightning arrow locations to engage the divine beast.

Also just to point out the different races get married and stuff in BotW. Link was theoretically in line to be king of the zoras as well.

Which I find kind of funny, because I read that what we think of "pure Japanese" are really descendants of people who migrated from Korea and China way back. The actual pure Japanese are the Ainu and other native populations.

There's a ton of intermingling in BotW. Hylian "Vai" in Gerudo city, the Gorons visiting the Zora city, the Gorons making flame-proof suits for other races wanting to visit, etc.

Which I find kind of funny, because I read that what we think of "pure Japanese" are really descendants of people who migrated from Korea and China way back. The actual pure Japanese are the Ainu and other native populations.

I mean a very large portion of "native" people across the world were not the first humans of that land, they've just been the dominant ones for a very long time.
