By a lot of measurements, Trump can be said to be more intelligent.

He's done more and he's more successful (being a billionaire and President despite no political experience). He basically outplayed all the politicians at their own game and that's AFTER winning in the business world and the TV world.

He hasn't done more, he just has more. And intelligence is not measured by what you have. You say Trump won in the business world, but he's actually performed worse than the market and has a long list of embarrassing failures with no real major business successes to hang his hat on. Lol I mean he literally lost billions of dollars on a casino in Atlantic City...

And no he didnt beat politicians at their own game, he knew he had no chance at beating them at their own game so he played by his own rules and was willing to cross lines that no one else was in order to win. That doesn't make him smart, it means he has no morals. If someone cheats at a game and wins, it doesnt mean they're smarter for choosing to cheat. It means they were willing to cross lines that their competition was not. Just like Trump is more than willing to do things that are bad for America if they benefit him personally when other politicians wont.

I mean...by definition he's done more. Being both President and a billionaire. Add on that he became president with no experience in politics and quite frankly its amazing.

And nah he beat politicians at their own game by becoming the literal top politician in the country. How he did it is whatever. No morals? Probably, but you also described every politician ever so it's not really an advantage.

As for money, he beat the odds by taking 10 mil and turning it into multi-billions. If he did it while literally having failed businesses, that's only more impressive. No matter how you look at it, he's done something not a lot of other people can do. Like....less than .001%. And he's done it twice now.

Depends what you mean by more. If I flip burgers during the day and bartend at night, I can say I do more than someone with only one job, even if that one job is CEO of a major corporation. I dont think that's an effective way to judge things. And while Trump may be a billionaire, in no way can anyone claim he took 10 Mill and turned that into a billion dollars. No he inherited his father's real estate business which owned properties all across Manhattan and rising property values are what made him most of his money, especially when you look at his failing track record of investing and asset acquisition. In fact he's such a bad business man that despite having an enormous amount of wealth, a slowing economy made it so he couldn't pay his interest payments as his debts actually surpassed his substantial personal wealth, as well as a nearly billion dollar debt he owed personally. But, whereas as you or I would be forced to deckare.bankruptcy amd sell off all of our assets to be left with nothing, Trump owed so much more money than his assets were worth that the banks who were gonna foreclose on him we're going on lose a substantial amount of money if they did so. So instead they gave Trump something like 100 million dollar loan to keep his businesses afloat. And he basically was forced to play this juggling game with the banks. So anyone calling him a good or even successful businessman are sorely mistaken.

As for his presidency win, it's shocking for sure, but I don't see anything to call impressive or really anything to give him credit for. He built a campaign on lies and dividing the American people. The most I can say about him is that he exposed some major flaws in how we elect our leaders. But of course he did that by benefiting from those flaws, which is how he was able to win the presidency despite displaying absolutely nothing to suggest he was qualified for the job at all. In fact, quite the opposite. The characteristics necessary to win a popularity contest have absolutely nothing in common with the characteristics needed to be an effective president. And he has proved that by being perhaps the worst president in living memory, if not America history. Now I'll clarify, being the worst president, does not mean he's having the worst presidency, it just means that he's doing the worst worth what he's been given, he just happens to have been very fortunate with the state of the country as he took office, and has really only had to deal with the storm in Puerto Rico, which he didn't take seriously at all.

So again, it depends on how you measure accomplishments. Because by your logic, Hitler was close to taking over the world, but are you really going to praise how he did it?

A bit of an extreme example, but undoubtedly he'd be praised as a good leader. Doesn't make him a good person. Same with Trump.

Trump took 10 mil and made it multi-billions. No matter how he did that, it's super rare to do and takes some intelligence. He can't get lucky that constantly for that long.

And again, he became President. That's impressive even if you think he has a terrible presidency or campaign (I don't think it's any worse than normal. They're all bad).

Trump has to either be the epitome of luck or intelligent to accomplish what he has.

If you use concrete things/measurements, then yes. But it's not just those two. It's that he did things Obama didn't do or did it in a more impressive manner.

I have no clue who's actually more intelligent. I just said by certain measurements.

Then if you use OTHER concrete measurement, by certain measurements, Obama is more intelligent correct? He also became president when there was a lot of doubt, he (unlike Trump) had to contend w/ a significant racial issues growing up, he has maintained a better track record w/ marriage, he can dialogue w/ allies and enemies without name calling, his track record of truths versus lies is much higher, etc

Possibly. I don't know a thing about their education/grades, but Obama becoming a Harvard Lawyer could be a measurement. The rest you named is more personality and less intelligence.

But Harvard Lawyer plus possible education things and doing something similar to Trump but garnering slightly more respect from the other side (Obama has democrats and minorities, Trump has republicans/southerners) could be seen as Obama being more intelligent.

But didn't Trump win on personality? That's not intelligence, so why credit him with that? And as others have pointed out here, there wasn't any specific intelligence/thought process that gave him some business success (as he had a lot of failures), so how are you defining intelligence? Seems you use a very broad stroke to define intelligence for Trump but handwave Obama's accomplishments as "personality".

No, Trump won on a specific strategy. He portrayed himself a certain way to a specific group of people, did his rallies and campaigns in swing states, and made sure to win the electoral college by a long shot.

Obama has accomplishments, like becoming president and a Harvard Lawyer/graduate. The stuff you named was just literally relationship stuff which isn't intelligence, but personality.

And as said before, either could be said to be more intelligent if you weight certain things more. But Trump can't be said to be stupid/dumb.
