Captain America is just a really strong dude who has a strong weapon. He has no powers outside being strong. He doesnt seem very bright either, in the movies.

I think Starlord did a better job against Thanos but he did have help.

Captain America also struggled more against Iron Man than Star Lord. But I suppose you could argue Iron Man was a lot more familiar with Cap.

Power levels in MCU seem a bit different. Infinity War Iron Man would have kicked the Hulk's ass.

I think that's irrelevant after GOTG2.

I guess I'm surprised at how good Starlord actually was in Infinity War overall. For a regular guy with some gadgets he's up there fighting with some damn powerful people. He doesn't even have super strength.

when Thanos beats up Hulk, he wasn't using any stones at all. he had them but he didn't activate them. he wanted to do it on his own.

And Cap did nothing to Thanos.

And no, Iron Man would not kick Hulk's ass. He may not even win given how he struggled against Cull Obsidian.

Thanos had armor against Hulk and like...tried. He didn't try on Iron Man, had no armor, and when he did try, he had Iron Man dead after beating the suit off of him.

He clearly tried against Hulk. Not like he was straining, but he put in combo work and hit certain parts of the anatomy. Stark got Thanos who was holding back and had no armor. When Thanos tried, he practically killed Stark. He just KO'd Hulk.

Definitely not, MCU cap is an absolute beast.

He kicked spiderman's ass and completley turned the tide on the battle where scarlet witch and vision were being attacked. Not to mention fighting ironman and Loki.

Yeah, Star Lord is glib and daring. Not a tactician. And Cap has plenty of experience fighting foes with alien tech. Peter's gun is just a high tech gun. He doesn't carry any of the wacky shit Rocket carries in his pack. Rocket is the one I'd watch out for here. And Gammora and Drax, because of their experience and martial training.
