Just lift shit with your hands. I'm pretty sure I just about lost my life. I was using a crane to lift some chains, and the hook at the end snagged a piece of the mold and snapped back off at full tension. Clipped my hand because I was just about to pull them through the bracket they were looped through. (I didn't want to lift three feet of chain and then pull the hook(s) through, so I was lifting the three feet with the chain with the crane when it snagged an edge.) I hope the hook didn't snap off the chain because they're pretty expensive. If it had caught my chin it would have hooked into my mouth from underneath and broken my neck or pulled my head right off.

I understood! I went to the walk-in, doctor says "Yeah, that's broken, man." I said "Are you sure?" He says "Yeah! Look at how swollen it is!" (I watched it swell up into a lump about two inches by two inches area, about three-quarters of an inch high in a matter of about five seconds after I took my glove off.) He starts twisting my fingers (which didnt feel nice) and then he nods his head. So he sends me for an X-ray, I get it and go back. He says everything looks good and it's just swollen. Light-duty for two weeks to avoid a WCB claim (unsure if WCB pays full wage) until healed.
