I don't think so, but I can see why pro choice people wouldn't want to risk it.

It is likely. He's expressed agreement with the decent on Roe v. Wade.
Also, last year during that drama with the seventeen year old immigrant who discovered she was pregnant after crossing the border, and who was physically restrained from getting an abortion she was legally entitled to (already illegal in the state of Texas), Kavanaugh was the judge who tried to tie her case up in legal red tape until she was past the point where she could legal get the procedure, even after admitting that the state of Texas had no right to restrain her. His ruling was that the state could take an extra couple weeks to try and find her a guardian within the state who might then decide to take her to have the procedure. And if they couldn't find a guardian or surrogate family she would retry her case from the beginning. At this point, she was five weeks away from the legal cut off for receiving an abortion in Texas. There was not a lick of good faith in that decision. These are the games he played with people's lives. His decision was overturned by a higher court almost immediately because it was blatant bullshit. And then he still wrote a piece strongly criticizing their decision, without a legal or ethical leg to stand on. People are right to suspect that if a challenge to Roe arises, he won't protect it. A lot of his career points in that direction. --- Ignorance is a choice https://imgtc.com/i/7UnK3hx.jpg ... Copied to Clipboard!
