https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness-exercise/running-burn-calories-per-mile#per-mile

According to a chart by The American Council on Exercise, a 120-pound person burns about 11.4 calories per minute. So if that person runs a 10-minute mile, theyll burn 114 calories. If that person weighed 180 pounds, the calorie burn goes up to 17 calories per minute. The 180-pound runner would burn 170 calories running that same 10-minute mile.

It's a lot easier to just not eat the Snickers bar than to eat it, then run 2 miles.

Cardio is great and necessary, but in terms of weight-loss, it's not burning very many calories. A lot of single items people consume - even healthy foods - can have more calories than what you burn in a single cardio session.

A normal portion is about two slices, though it depends on the size of the slice. Pizza has a pretty disproportionate relation between how filling it is versus how much calories and fat it has, though, and most people would probably say they aren't full until after at least three slices even though that's way more than your body can likely use.

Running sucks. I usually walk for an hour a day. Listen to some tunes or a podcast you enjoy during it and its really not wasted time at the end of the day. You got some exercise and listened to something you enjoy.

Unpopular opinion but I get more joy out of running than I ever did out of lifting weights. It definitely helps that I run around in the scottish countryside though.

A lot of people would enjoy running more if this was their backdrop rather than the TV in front of the treadmill.

that might be true. I'm in Miami, so Florida humidity and McMansions all over the neighborhood are not as appealing as the Scottish countryside
so I do my cardio in the gym. it's boring as fuck but I run for an hour or so and then reward myself with lifting
