It's not a bad game. It's just painfully average.

It's a shame because the core combat and all of the playable characters are quite good. Constantly unlocking the new characters and trying their new abilities and seeing their story was the best part of the game. But the structure and mission design is so damn bad.

I'm guessing the budget for this game was really low. The constant Saints Row imagery was also really weird. There doesn't seem to be a real reason why the game is set in Seoul either. Just felt like any other city with some cool futuristic buildings and elevators. The lack of coop is baffling considering there's a lot of grindy stuff to the game that's optional too.

It's sad because there's a lot of cool stuff found within the game. But it just didn't completely click together.

I really, really like the cast of characters. I just wish they were all in a better game.

Yeah just had some generic techno music when driving.

It's the most obvious 'this game had no budget or a rushed development cycle' since Dragon Age 2.

It's fine for a budget price.

The biggest issue with it is that there's just so much other stuff that's better to play.

It wasn't until sometime after it released that I learned it wasn't actually a multi-player game.

And then a bunch of Volition employees got fired for its performance. Chip Cheezum :(

I think if they hadn't billed it by saying "you control 3 characters at once..." since people who play gams are gonna automatically associate it with them copying GTA like they so often like to do. reality is it's more like warriors orochi where you switch between 3 characters and they immediately take the spot of the last one
it really surprised me when I play it. once you get past the initial overall ugliness of the drawn cutscenes which looked like those esurance commercials and how the games artstyle seems suspiciously similar to overwatch, it's pretty good. some characters are blatantly better than others though it's a singleplayer game so whatever
