And I honestly gotta say it was definitely a different experience (in a good way). It's very similar to those indie films that try to do different point of views gimmicks like Blair Witch Project and Chronicles. What makes this film different in my opinion is that it's primarily always on the computer and the director always finds a way to make it interesting while John Cho does an amazing performance.

For those who have no idea what the film is about, it's about a man (played by John Cho) who recently isn't as close to her daughter ever since his wife passed away. One day he gets 3 missed calls from his daughter and since then finds out that she hasn't came home since. He gets paired up with an investigator and now has to look into social media to find clues to what happened to his daughter. There's never a boring moment and whats cool is that you get to see his logic and journey because the majority of the movie is seeing him explore online to find info about his daughters disappearance. It will keep you guessing and the ending isn't as what you would expect.

So tl;dr version: I highly reccomend you watch this movie. It's a great suspense film and worth the experience.

The whole time I was watching it, I was like, "Man, he's a better detective than the police."
There was a reason for that and I'm glad they touched on it.

Yeah lol, I literally whispered that to my wife when watching the film "Oh god, is this going to be another one of those films where the main character (who is just an everyday man) is more competent than the police task force?" Glad the film manages to find a way to do away such a common trope in a very interesting way.

He was still demonstrating some incredible investigation skills. The only thing that would have made the movie better is if he was offered a detective job at the end.

That actually leads to my only complaint about the film the stock photo and the lady blurting out that the investigator volunteered to the case were rather "convenient", but I guess necessary for the plot and closure. Though I guess the ending also reinforced the message of the film, parents going out of their way to help their kids.

main character is looking for his missing daughter and hacks into her facebook account to look for clues. an investigator is assigned to his case to help him out. it turns out that the investigator wanted the case to mislead everyone because her son was the one who catfished the main character's daughter and pushed her down a lake. the main character was able to piece together clues and figure it out.
