I always like to know of tips that will help me not regret a decision I made in-game

Such a great game, even if the fanbase is cancer.

It's hard to give tips without spoiling anything. Just do your own thing for your first playthrough. Don't worry about "accidentally" going onto the genocide route, it's pretty much impossible to do it without going out of your way to.

The most I can say is (this is kind of spoilers, read at your own risk):

Certain characters in the game remember things you do across multiple playthroughs. So if you do something bad in one playthrough you might get reminded of it at some point in the next.

Most important tip: don't listen to people telling you how to play, or what route to take.

(That said, I would recommend just going for neutral and playing it like a regular RPG first, then go for pacifist.)

Play all of the "routes" that people talk about since they all have substantial plot and gameplay differences. Depending on how you approach the routes, it's possible to repeat very little of the game, so if you're interested in maximizing the amount of time you spend seeing new content, look up a spoiler free guide of the routes.

But really it's not a big deal if you "mess up" a route since the game is pretty short and of a good enough quality that it's not a big deal if you repeat some sections.

Just play the game the way you normally would the first time, then you can re-play and mess with shit if you want.
