It's not even like the games they have are all high quality games. It's mostly the same garbage on the PC but with worse graphics and a few PlayStation exclusives like RIGS

It really does. They're designing games to have zero KB/M support. You have to get mods to fix that shit.

It's pretty annoying how fragmented the VR userbase is in general tbh. Even on PC.

I know you can get workarounds but it's not the same.

I will say that the ratio of good to garbage is probably better on PSVR but you're right that the games on PCVR usually control and look better.

The ratio will always be terrible on PC but through sheer brute Force numbers PC will always have the most high quality VR games because it has the most games in general.

Yeah of course. I just mean that most games on the PSVR store are generally pretty decent from what I can tell. PCVR (or Steam specifically) will always have more games in every category because there's no curation. I've even found some university projects on it.

Sometimes playing a weird, low budget game in VR is still an experience anyway. I played this kinda shitty New Zealand horror game but it was still amusing to play.

Because motion controls are shit and handicap you badly. They manage to give you worse control than a standard controller.

You're making the assumption winning and beating the game is the only reason to play a game.

Others like to do it for fun, and have more fun when they are completely immersed in the experience. Why would I want to press the sword swing button when I can really swing it instead?

Because I play for a challenge, and when you handicap yourself with a controller, and have to use thumbsticks to move, you have drastically crippled yourself.

If it wasn't 100% obvious, I'm talking about games that natively use KB/M, like Doom or Skyrim.

When you have Hyper Void, you really don't need a lot more selling points.

That logic doesn't follow. You say you want the challenge, but also you want to use the keyboard and mouse becausr it doesnt cripple you, a.k.a. it is easier.

So do you want it to be a challenge, or do you want to not be 'crippled' by using a more immersive controller?

I want to mod my game to be balls to the wall, so that I have to use the maximum response speed hardware to keep up - the closest you can get to real life controls. Using a toy designed for children is not how you make immersive, enjoyable games, that's how you make kiddy casual games. Don't tell me you're a goddamn casual.

Considering neither of those are actual VR games but traditional games converted to work in VR I wouldn't really say that's obvious no.

Pressing buttons to swing a sword is closest to real life? That's a confusing line of thought.
Whats with the 'child's toy' comment? Either all video games are children's toys, or they aren't. How is the vive controller more of a toy than any other input method?
And sometimes playing casually is fun. Especially in VR, because sometimes you just want to be lost in another world, not always doing it for pure challenge.

Let me ask you this.

If I give you a gun and point you at a bullseye 100ft away and tell you to hit it, do you...

A) pick up the gun, aim down the sights, and fire
or
B) sit down behind a keyboard and mouse, and use them to control a robotic arm that holds the gun, and then have the robotic arm fire
