JL is the best DCEU movie (I'm not calling it what they want me to call it because that's dumb) and it's mostly because they got a competent director to fix it.

God damn did DC fuck up their attempt at being Marvel, I wonder what went wrong, Aren't DC heroes even easier to write than Marvel ones?

Most JL's bad moments are clearly Whedonized. So if you replace that with Snyderized scenes, it improves from meh with weird graphics to good with beautiful graphics (usually Snyder's MO).

Marvel spent a decade risking everything on a big bet by releasing individual movies to build towards the first avengers. DC said "screw it, everyone knows batman" and tried to rush a team movie out the door and nobody cared.

The weird thing is that people, at least on the comics board, who ask for the Snyder cut unironically think BVS and MoS are brilliant movies and think people just didn't give Snyder enough creative freedom to let his vision breathe.

I could almost believe that Snyder with more freedom could make a good movie because he so clearly, clearly wanted Superman to be evil and I have to imagine he simply wasn't allowed to do that.

I don't have a complete list and don't feel like digging it up. But here are some of them.

The biggest one is the reshoot to Superman's conversation with Lois.

"Do you remember what I said, about the ring?" -> "You smell nice." "You mean I didn't before?"

some other edits include the joke about Wonder Woman being thirsty, Barry Allen's "What is brunch?", and a few other low brow shits seen throughout the movie.

That said there are two Whedon edits I really liked.
1. The impromptu competition between Superman and The Flash to see who could evacuate the most civilians.
and 2. The opening reel with "Everybody knows"

But additionally what people mean by the Snyder cut is that various scenes from the movie that Synder shot were also cut out. Among them includes Superman's black suit, and a few other cool things.

That said I don't think it would dramatically change the movie. It may make it more logically consistent and less incoherent in tone but if you hated the movie we got I strongly doubt the Snyder cut would do anything to change your mind.

Screw that, they aren't marvel heroes, DC heroes care far more about civilians lives compared to them this is shit I'd see in Avengers but only Quicksilver can move that fast there

Superman would have continued to be trash in the Snyder cut. Whedon is the only reason he saw an improvement in JL.

I'm pretty sure one of the changes was Snyder was gonna have Supes try and kill cops when he goes berserk.

It wasn't even that. DC could have done it if they didn't just... decide to fuck up most of their characters.

Batman? He's a murderer now who uses guns.
Superman? He's depressed and not a boy scout anymore.
Jimmy Olsen? Make him a CIA agent who dies right away.
Mercy? She can't be a badass anymore.
Lex? Just fuck his shit up in every way. Hell, let's make him an even WORSE villain than the Doomsday in this movie!

Oh, and cram a whole bunch of other characters in there. We're on a deadline here - gotta keep up with Marvel! What do you mean there's no race? That fans couldn't possibly give a shit unless the movies are just good? Get outta here!

the rest have been pretty much on par with middling MCU films
