And yet...Cyberpunk is supposed to be some commentary about the future and transhumanism ethics...?

Or are we really claiming that this game is supposed to be some mindless RPG that doesn't leave a lasting impression on the story?

Unless you're making Mario or Tetris or some ****, it's basically impossible to tell a meaningful story without implying something political.

The only way to be unpolitical is to go back to the Pong age.

some kind of political commentary is fine but there are times it is way too overbearing or detrimental to the game.

If you are talking about something like the "moral" of Bioshock or the commentary on government of Dishondered, yeah that's fine. But that's not really trying to make a political point as it is to a setting for a good story to go with the interactive part of the game.

Otherwise I don't think I have ever played a "political" game.

i agree with this. incorporating political elements is cool if it helps build a narrative for the plot for sure
