They're not even close to actual driving numbers unless you drive like super cautious and have everything turned off, like AC or heating. Every time you accelerate hard, your mpg go down. She has to accelerate slowly and learn how to cruise on momentum. Regardless, most of the industry numbers are lies. My Lexus is supposed to get up to 40/39.
