34 y/o Star Wars actor Adam Driver, the former Mmarine who plays Kylo Ren in the hit movie said he recalled there were Ku Klux Klan rallies back in his day as a child growing up and many people DOUBTED his claim, including an Indiana University Professor and MUSEUM who have now apologized for doubting it after it was proven TRUE!!

He said he had neighbors back in Indiana who were KKK members as the Mishawaka native made the comments on a USA Today Interview in his new role in "BlackKkKlansman". He said "If anything, i was more aware of it as a kid growing up in Indiana because there were always Klan rallies, like every summer. There were people in the Klan who were in our neighborhood"

But professor James Madison said he doesn't doubt that Driver was exposed to the KKK but said there were NO RALLIES some 3 decades ago that he's claiming and said "Most of the memories of this sort tend to be grossly exaggerated but at the same time, it's quite possible that he saw men and women in robes and sheets"

There was a KKK rally in nearby South Bend around 2001 when driver was a Teen according to the Southern Poverty Law Centre. Indiana Grand Dragon Richard Loy was known to host rallies on his Osceola farm.

They have a tight grip in Indiana in the 1920's as historians say nearly 1/3 of Indiana's WHITE MALE PROTESTANT MEN were members at one point.

Now Travis Childs, who works at the History Museum in South Bend admits he was wrong to say Driver was "exaggerating" it who at first said "if they were as active asa he said they were active, they'd have been in the paper every other week".

Driver said they were indeed frequent there as 6 men claiming to be Klansmen attacked a black couple and their baby in 1992, less than 2 years after he moved to Mishawaka from California at age 7 and were sentenced for their crimes.

4 white men with the White Brotherhood also robbed a black woman in 1993 and killed Cathy Long in the process drawing coverage. 5 Rallies occurred in the area between 1993 and 2001, in addition to 2 KKK protests in 1998 when a white student was forced to remove a shirt with the N-word..

Travis says he regrets calling Driver a liar and hadn't adequately researched on the klan's history as he was shocked to discover these events and is "saddened" by it. He did not want driver to make claims on Indiana from an outsider's perspective and have people think of it with a negative impression.

Seems highly unlikely given that he was born in the 80s.

The same SPLC that put Ben Carson on a watch list? Great source. Whole organization is a sham.

If people believe that, I've got a skyscraper to sell them.
