21 y/o Katie Stubblefield, the young girl who became extremely depressed after a bad break up with her boyfriend in Ohio and SHOT her FACE off with her brother's HUNTING RIFLE has a new chance in life after she went through a successful FACE TRANSPLANT!!

When her brother, Robert kicked down the bathroom after hearing the gunfire, he discovered his sister on the floor with her "face gone" as the bullet fired upwards as she rested the gun barrel under her chin and destroyed almost everything in an upward and inwards triangle, from her chin to between her eyebrows!!..

She was 18 at the time when the suicide attempt happened as doctors have been able to give Katie a new face as the opportunity arose with someone of some "resemblance" to her. She became the youngest person ever to receive a full face transplant and one of 40 worldwide to undergo it..but hers was the worst injuries of any patient to date that was a 31 hour procedure to do.

She grew up in a devout Christian Family who was competitive at school and in sport but after she moved to Mississippi from Florida, she suffered setback as her mother lost her job as a teacher and her bf was sending text to another girl and ended their relationship where she became do distraught, she attempted suicide..

Now with a new face of a woman who passed away, she went to meet the grandmother of that woman to show her the face of her grandchild that passed..

Sandra Bennington met Katie for the first time and said "You look so beautiful" as she held her hand to tell her how much it meant to meet her who has the face of her lovely granddaughter..

Katie became overwhelmed with emotion as she has the face of Adrea Schenider who died at 31 and left a son behind. She was an organ donor but her grandmother has to sign off on the facial surgery. Adrea was adopted at 11 due to her mother's drug addiction and her mother too passed away.

Katie says she has everything to thank for Adrea's family as without the new face, she didn't know if she could move on as she is thankful to have another chance at life...
