I think the show realized this hence why this is the last season, they could milk it for a few more seasons and make millions of more dollars if they really wanted to.

Probably gonna be a bunch of super convenient endings to the different plots though.

Not Golden Age amazing, but still 9/10 material.

its not so much a drop in quality that makes it bad to be a berserk fan but more to do with the author being incredibly lazy
berserk has been around since the 80s and still ongoing
and he makes new chapters so slowly
one year he only put out a single chapter

i started reading it like 10 years ago
i caught up and they had just got on a boat
8 years later i checked to see how much had been done in the story since then
THEY WERE STILL ON THE FUCKING BOAT!!!

Writing is hard. Sometimes you can get frozen, particularly if the pressure is too high.

Sure he could finish it easily if quality isn't a concern. If it is he's probably going to be a bit dear in the headlights about it for a while, and all the pressure and distraction of the show being so big isn't helping.

if anything, the next book is will be a top seller for both old and new fans of the series.
