I've pretty much completely lost my appetite for modern or otherwise "realistic" shooters. I'll shoot aliens and demons and space bad guys, but military shooters and stuff like that, nah doesn't work for me anymore. Just desensitizes people to real-world violence (I feel the same way about movies and TV)

My issue with the "Realistic Shooters" is that they aren't realistic enough.

There are too many elements that aren't properly simulated all in 1 game.

I have yet to find a "Realistic FPS" that meets all my requirements.

I guess far in the future. I like all those settings, but far future is the only one that never really gets old. It's the setting that has the most room for creativity.

Near future, since Black Ops 2 is my all-time favorite. Enough into the future to be able to take creative liberties and introduce unique settings and features that wouldn't fit in a modern game like Modern Warfare, without needing to go too crazy and drastically change the way the game plays like Advanced Warfare did.

Realism is overrated, and I'll gladly take something unrealistic if it makes the game a lot more fun.

I prefer having choices.

I want a super real, ultra unforgiving, very accurate simulation.

Then a separate game where it's all fantastical and fun oriented with goofy stuff.

There's room in the FPS market for many different flavors of shooters.
