GOG doesn't merely sell games they get really old games that don't run on modern PCs and make them run. Preserving the bytes alone is meaningless.

GOG needs to cut some deals with Microsoft to get the MechWarrior games, godammit.

None of those have gotten any support past their intended OS's either due to Microsoft not caring, Microsoft being protective of its IPs and not wanting to hand over selling rights to GOG, or some legal fuck up with the long defunct FASA.

FASA is synonymous with legal fuckups.

Or that Piranha is suppressing any usage of the IP other than their own like they did with Living Legends and the MekTek free download of MW4.
