Basically, if you die, you can choose to "Continue". If you do, you go back to wherever you were at the start of either the day you died, or the previous day (your choice each time). You can choose not to continue, you still get the option regardless of cause of death (including self-inflicted), and there is no limit to how many times you can use it.

Your memories from after the point you resume from, will not be entirely missing, but they will be unclear. Sort of as if you were drunk during that time.

Butterfly effect applies, so there's no guarantee the day will play out the same after you resume. But the world will be exactly as it was at the time you resume from. Which means that if you died at 12:01 AM, you're... probably going to die again if you resume from the same day. (This is why the previous day option exists.)

No one else will know you have this ability, and no one will ever believe you about it, no matter how much they trust you or what proof you can provide of it. Even in the face of literally undeniable proof, literally no one will accept it as fact that you have this ability. It is up to you whether you see this as an advantage or a disadvantage.

That's a good one. But I picked continue. I expect to be a poor 90 year old looking at the screen thinking "Just fucking great." though

Definitely he money.
If I die in an accident, the continue option might be worth it, but if I die of old age or illness, I'd still die no matter what. I could probably cheat my way into winning the lottery but what does it matter if I die anyway.
If I could choose my continue point up to a year or two behind, it would be more tempting.

....

Nevermind, I just read the part where my memories are going to be fuzzy once I "continue".. screw that, give me the money!

The fuzzy memories thing isn't that bad. If you remember smoke and burnt rubber, probably don't go on that road trip you had planned. Or if you're going to a concert or something... or meeting someone off craigslist... I don't know, there's countless scenarios where even just the vaguest hint would be enough to save your life.

How would you die anyway? Just don't kill yourself the second time.

Except you can't be sure the numbers will be the same the second time around. Butterfly effect applies, remember.

There shouldn't be anything you do so differently in one day that lottery numbers would be changed from things going slightly different in the same day. Butterfly Effect needs time to kick in for that sorta thing.

I would kill myself over and over to use it to my advantage. imagine getting the lottery numbers, killing yourself and going back to the previous day, then winning the lottery after you respawn

True, but unless the jackpot is over $10 millions, and you're 100% sure to be the only winner, there's no point doing that, might as well just grab the money right away.

wtf are you talking about? grab what money right away? the money you need the numbers for which is why you have go through the whole death thing in the first place?

I don't think you understand what the butterfly effect is, it's not "i wore green socks instead of blue this changes the lottery numbers"
