I kinda disagree with him that the WM Lesnar vs Reigns match was poor. The crowd (arguably rightfully) turned the atmosphere into a shit show, but the match itself was very intense and an outside the box spin on the formula. I think itll gain traction as a worthwhile watch over time as the wound heals.

The GRR cage match, yeah, that was bad

Reigns vs Lesnar WM was atrocious.

It's one of those matches where I'm not sure what it was trying to achieve in a booking sense. Reigns having DA IRON WILL was already well established. Taking like 6 F5s puts it into the realm of straining the ability to suspend disbelief.

And basically the entire match was him getting beat up so it wasn't fun as a match either.

Cena vs Lesnar 2014 had shock and novelty factors helping it

Lesnar mauling guys isn't something we don't see all the time at this point, nor is Reigns getting dominated (he had an entire feud with Strowman built on him being dominated. Not to mention his previous Lesnar mania match when Seth cashed in wasn't too far off that)

Also Cena didn't kick out of nearly what Reigns did

Yeah surprising ending did win it a few points but it lacked impact after Reigns had kicked out of so many

For me having Reigns kick out of that much pulls me out of the match. I start meta analyzing it (Reigns will clearly kick out of as many things as he's booked to) rather than thinking of it like a fight (Reigns has the tenacity to kick out of that much).

Maybe different types of fans are already having their booking hats on by default when watching a match but I really try not to and find it annoying when a match forces me to to justify what I'm seeing as making sense.

Yeah I'll always defend their 31 match. They completely nailed it and the suplex city thing wasn't old yet. It was really really good.

Reigns bleeding all over the place was good too.

But they made such a point to build and build the F5 over the year, and yet having Lesnar need 6 to beat Reigns just undid all of that.

It's annoying how often they miss because sometimes they just nail it. Like whoever had the idea of building Sheamus vs. Big Show around the Brogue Kick vs. KO Punch and then having Sheamus be the first to kick out of it really nailed that feud. Well built, well executed, Sheamus kicking out was foreshadowed but still surprising. So like, they can build that kind of thing well. Then they just do shit like WM where it's fucking dumb.
