I played Guacamelee, it's the first metroidvania I've played. It was alright until a harsh spike in difficulty, and then there was definitely no way I was going to beat it.

I am not that good at video games. I am awful at super precise platformers. I mean, I'm not a child, and I've played and beaten all kinds of Zelda games and WPRGs on normal difficulty. But I never get to the point where I'm like "damn I rock at this game did you see that?!". I just give up before then.

Is Hollow Knight hard enough that a person like me can't beat it?

It definitely will abuse you if you make mistakes, but overall a death normally doesn't put you too far back typically.

anyways, personal opinion, if guacamelee is too much id definitely pass on hollow knight, as much as i like the game

Hollow Knight only requires precision platforming in its optional areas. The difficulty comes in the form of combat and there's no BS-ing your way through boss rooms, where you're locked in. I enjoyed the challenge but I died a lot during my first playthrough.

Guacamelee is pretty far on the easy side in terms of metroidvanias. Hollow Knight is on the hard side. If you couldn't beat Guacamelee, most if not all of the optional bosses will be too hard for you in Hollow Knight, and some of the later bosses may be too much to handle.

It's a fantastic game, and you should absolutely try it, but be ready for a challenge.

The game will force you to react but its not anything any seasoned gamer cannot Handel

It's pretty tough, but not insanely difficult. Certain bosses can definitely take over 10 tries to beat. A couple of them even took me 20-30 tries to beat. And even then I'm sure there are people who had a rougher experience than that.

It's fun though. Even the most difficult bosses are fun to get through because you can feel yourself getting better with each attempt.

its "hard" but in the same way that Souls games and Cuphead are hard. at first bosses seem overwhelming but its really just a matter of practicing and learning patterns.

Its a lot harder than Guacamelee, but I wouldnt call it crazy hard either
