Have you ever pirated movies or downloaded a ROM of a game you didn't own? Have you ever stolen something from a store as a kid, even if it was just a pack or gum? Would you feel it is acceptable if the people you stole from tracked you down and pummeled you to death, no matter how minor you might consider the stolen items?

pirating isn't stealing

Regardless of how you justify it, they aren't compensated for what you end up playing and therefore you've harmed their bottom line. You're justifying your own crimes. Neat.

This is stealing from someone personally, not corporations.

The guy he stole from doesn't look very wealthy and probably really needed his wallet that day.

I also dont think an adult clerk is going to beat a child over pocketing something.

I don't like the fact he was killed, and five minutes does seem excessive, but at the same time I dont have too much sympathy for an adult thief stealing directly from people.

The fact that people tried to separate the two and he kept going back? It's not him acting on instinct unless his instinct IS to kill.

Well yeah especially when the guy is covering his head and begging him to stop. Him going back means he should be charged with murder IMO

Anarchy_Juiblex posted...
Is that guy a threat to the general public? Probably not.

No, that's stupid. A man who beats someone to death with his bare hands over a minor offense most definitely is a threat to the general public.

Imagine this guy just cashed his paycheck and Yung Thug over here is taking the roof over his head and the food for his child.

Its one thing to be a scummy thief, but theres a whole other layer to it when youre burning people for being kind and helping you with a buck.

He wont be missed.

It wasn't like this guy was mugged and then had his wallet stolen. A mere pick pocket. Not a thug, except for this guy who beat him to death.

i have no sympathy for the thief, but at the same time i can recognize that he didn't deserve to be beaten to death. the man is not a murderer though. i believe probation and comprehensive anger management would be an appropriate sentence for him.

He beat a man to death for over 5 minutes after he got his wallet back and fought off those who tried to stop him. This isn't self-defense and his emotional response flew straight into unhinged territory. He's clearly a risk to the people around him, and yes potential thieves, bad drivers, annoying people count as people.

No. I'm saying why brutally beating a petty thief to death deserves more than a slap on the wrist. This wasn't passion or fear. It was bloodlust.

Wallets don't just contain cash. They could contain someone's ID, credit cards and even Social Security cards. This thief could well have put his victim in a world of financial hurt for an extended period of time had he gotten away with his crime.

This. And yeah half the people here wont take your side or understand your reasoning.

They also dont seem to understand the guy probably didnt intent on killing the thug, but getting punched and kicked on concentrate can fuck you up a lot more than grass or mats These people here are the type where you could spit in their face and they would cry instead of hit you.

But he caught him and got his wallet back, before he started beating him, so the thief didn't get away with the crime. And if he did get away with the crime, it wouldn't be ok for the victim to beat the thief to death if and when he did get apprehended after the fact
