Alright, back for a bit. Damn you guys posted a lot while I was writing this, this is me catching up to post 170.

IGCD, if you feel like you need to be involved in the conversation more than you have been here to get really engaged in a game, why have you not really made any effort to make it happen? Especially yesterday with a lynch that looked set and with you having replaced in when day 1 was mostly resolved, that seems like the time where even if you weren't fully caught up you could pick a fight over something random just to get motivated without worrying about it derailing the day.

So, why did you think Red was scum before deciding Han's attack on MZero was more claws for concern (get it he said claws out i am comedic)

Zach, I really want you to elaborate on your claim that I am reminding you of Puns' game, because that looks like forcing yourself to pretend you have an extra reason and aren't just following. In Puns' game, I was barely ever suspected at all until the final day when my high activity/effort made it fairly obvious that scum would have shot me unless I was the scum. I pressured some people, went back and forth with Chris a bit fairly calmly and generally seemed smart and reasonable. This game, day 2 and today especially, I've been kind of all over the place, cranky and generally not displaying 10% the composure I had there. You could say the difference is I've been under pressure here when I wasn't there, and you'd be right, but that still leaves the question of how you're seeing commonalities between two very different scenarios.

So I asked Han about how long he thought MZero was scum because "MZero you voted me omg u suuuuuuck" was kind of obviously not what was really going through his mind. Wasn't sure if it wasn't a prior conviction going unvoiced until then or what, but I find it plausible that it was a test. Think MZero and Han both look townier based on that interaction.

As for people jumping on, I would caution against being too sure about Tange hopping on out of nowhere. Since Zach brought up Puns mafia, I will remind people that in that game, Tange was town, didn't even know the game started until halfway through day 1, did barely anything, showed up a while before deadline to say he was too busy with real life to do much, then randomly plopped a vote on town Alakazam to help a train that had just started up in opposition to my obviously caught scumbuddy. Votes that look like out of nowhere opportunism are not strictly scum when coming from him. I'm not too keen on any argument against him that's based on vote timing instead of what little content he's provided, because I know lurking and bad looking votes are possible for him as town.

Content wise I'm struggling to remember anything from him besides leaving his vote on Zach over the joke independent claim for an oddly long time (that was him, right?). That struck me as kind of fake at the time (he can behind "town should always lynch the not-town" to look like he's doing something, but it didn't actually make sense as genuine pro-town behavior in a game where we were told before it started there are no independents). Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

Sultan, why does PJ mistaking you for someone else he had played with strike you as a deliberate lie to make you look bad as opposed to an honest mistake?

To Red who asked about whether my mason recruit confirms me, I was told it does.

First order of business, Red. It feels like you really haven't been offering much in the way of reads here, mostly just chiming in with some tangential commentary. Is there a reason for this or what?

Crescent, you put Benjamin on your inactive list. Maybe it's just because I was talking to him a lot but he seems like he's been a reasonably active presence in this game beyond early day 1 where he wasn't very relevant. Curious as to why.

...Crescent losing track of how many scum are actually left alive likely makes her town. Very hard for scum to forget that kind of detail I think, especially since the whole situation with Zam and then the lawyer onto Leo are pretty damn memorable.

Sultan jumping around on who he thinks is scum is concerning, he's really riding the implausibility of him claiming bodyguard with one already flipped to not look obviously scummy. His behavior feels more like he's trying to find a place to leave his vote that will look good than trying to sort things out.

Tange, what makes Dumey specifically the guy you think is scum roleblocker? And why do you like Han's argument against MZero when Han literally just admitted he didn't really buy into much himself and was just testing MZero's response?

IGCD, joking about deriving reads from the deleted post (a thing that's actually against the rules, even if I hope it gets forgiven here) is kind of uncool. Or did you actually mean that seriously?

What shade was he throwing? I feel like I missed the context on this or something, what do you think he'd be trying to accomplish as scum in saying that he's played with you before somewhere else when he hasn't? Remember that if he's lying, he'd know you would know it, so it's not as if he'd expect it to go unchallenged. So what do you think the purpose would be?

Think IGCD is a good direction to go today. Maybe Red. Of the low activity crew, I kind of want some additional thoughts on Benjamin, I feel like aside from Crescent saying a couple of times that he hasn't done much, people haven't really looked into him. He's had some stuff that could be a scum perspective in my view, but at the same time his initial reaction to me buying Puns' tracker bluff was to think that Leo was scum who did target Plum and I was scum with him and knew it, and that was quick enough to feel like a genuine theory. I'm undecided and want the spotlight on him. Am I crazy with the perspective issue on his "clutch save" comment (I think it implies scum might have had a kill blocked if he's scum) or not giving him enough credit on being able to fake that conclusion about me as scum?

Anyway

If MZero and Han are both town like I think, his vote on MZero looks like an attempt to get a mislynch going, since even if someone else (like me) is lynched today, the suspicion on him would keep him a focus in the future. And I don't care for his excusing away his activity by saying he needs to have stuff going on to get engaged when he really hasn't made much effort to get it happening.

That thing from IGCD about Han does not feel like a slip, he was pretty much just saying that Han would obviously already call himself town without anyone else's actions being involved. Sometimes you just don't feel like writing out the whole "I would assume you would pretend to know you're town already scum!" routine on every post, you know? It's null, more a matter of preference in phrasing than alignment. Other, more relevant stuff to focus on from him.

Second of all, Sultan claiming second bodyguard is really bizarre, first instinct is that that can't be true, second instinct is that there's no way he'd make that up as scum, third instinct is that he's scum and his team encouraged him to go through with it because it would seem too crazy for a newbie to fake. Then I try to think of why the scum team wouldn't be able to come up with a better fake night 1 action than targeting me, and I'm coming up blank. Then I think that two bodyguards, a jailkeeper and a jack with a doc save seems like a lot of protection, especially if there haven't been any scum kills blocked.

First of all this was a pretty wishy-washy stance on Sultan. But what do you mean by the part in bold? I can't fathom why you included it. I can only surmise that you're still treating my "clutch save last night" comment as a thing that only scum are so sure of, and now you're over-correcting to sound incredibly doubtful of any doc saves or blocks. And there's no reason why you should be that sure there weren't any

I do. For one, like hell if i let a scumteam bus me like this. I'd have their heads.

Also apologies i am pretty busy watching over my cousins dog for the week. Which involves a lot of making sure things dont get destroyed and keeping him and my cat separate. they do sleep pretty well at night, hence late night posting. The 100 degree weather complicates things a lot.

That's actually what I was going to say if we did kill you and you flipped scum - to look at the people who haven't mentioned you or stopped mentioning you. Because that's all I really know about your scum game. Although, I still bussed you anyway when I was on your team, AND I kept believing every power claim, so it's not a fool proof rule... plus you're self aware. And that's the reason I'm saying all of this now instead of later.
