The first one looked like a knock-off of Borderlands without the loot and the second one looked like the first one but even shorter and with fewer features.

That's my take on it, though. I just don't have much interest in it :|

for me personally:

- no endgame, the endgame is pretty much the raid + doing the same shit you did during the campaign

- everything scales to your level so you never feel like you're getting more powerful when you get new gear, which is kind of the whole appeal of MMOs

- lots of random features omitted in the game, the kind of shit that has been standard in video games for like 10 - 15 years. there's no way to interact with other players (cant even text chat in the tower in the pc version), no group finder, can't pick what game modes you want to play in pvp, there's barely any sort of coherent ranking system in pvp, cant chat with your guild in the game, etc.

- shaders and shit like that are one use and you kind of have to pay for them with real money, and then you have this arbitrary inventory limit so you cant just hoard them all, you have to start tossing em

- goofy ass story, it's like 80% dumb jokes and one liners

- you need to buy the previous DLC packs to play the new one, wtf is with that?

I am probably the only gamer in the world that finished both Destiny games as Single Player experiences.

I did not play these games like Romulox did, he was into the Raids and all that nonsense, wanted all the exotics stuff blah blah

I went only from point a to z and seen the credits rolled,

Destiny two was more story based so that was clearly more fun for me.

They removed content and features that were in Destiny 1, including quality of life stuff, just so they can eventually re-implement them if you purchase the DLC.

Imagine playing an mmofps type game with a raid

When the dlc comes out, they don't even give you a new raid. They give you a fucken new room in the first raid.

Then the second dlc comes out. They fucken did it again. Just a new room.

Then they expect you to shell out an additional $30-50 for the omgsupercool new expansion that's supposed to revolutionize the game.

The gameplay is cool and sleek. But Bungie just shits out bad practices.

And then you play Warframe, a free to play game. Then you go back to Destiny and your characters feels like they have a ten pound shit in their pants as they're moving compared to Warframe.

Yeah, this. For some reason I expected we'd at least get the features we got at the end of the destiny 1 life cycle. They took away a lot of things and butchered the multiplayer.

I liked it because I only played vanilla Destiny 1, so that experience was even more bare bones. From what I've gathered, D1 fleshed out pretty well after a few expansions. I think people's expectations were that D2 would start off with similar amount of content to D1 + expansions and what they got was a reset back to vanilla D1.

So I get the frustrations.

The biggest problem with D1 wasn't addressed. The content release model is still terrible if not worse.

Also imagine doing the same raid over and over. When you finally start getting bored, they finally announce a hard mode for it. Yay right? Wrong. The rewards are literally different colors of the same raid armor. No higher stats. No new weapons.
