A while ago I made my discord topic regarding the community I found, and how their humor I found to be.... Really insulting and racist. I hanged out with them a little more, and while they are still hilariously offensive with their humor, none of it is believed personally by anybody. It is just shock humor, through and through. Although I don't understand why they chose that specific kind of offensiveness, I think it is just something that people in nordish, Australian and European countries do for fun. I noticed a theme with that.

@s0nicfan your posts help changed my opinion alot, and someone i shared it with said it was beautifully stated. Thank for changing my mind on that. Really grateful for it.

I actually argued with alot of members of the chat again about politics and social issues and the results are a bit different then last time. Think a good chunk of the chat likes me, so the debate was alot better and I can understand where people positions are. I think alot of conservative leaning individuals (liberals are guilty to) feign willingness to debate something as a cover for criticism. Once you challenged them to actually confront their beliefs they balk, and repeat platitudes in fact of evidence while abandoning failing arguments as you take them down.

It is ultimately hubris and pride, thinking they are above political adversaries or ideological adversaries, that cause this great rift in people thinking. They probably got accustomed to arguing with fools, and once they actually engage an intelligent person, they aren't willing to admit they are wrong, rather from fear of it or arrogance. It is really shameful honestly. None of them was willing to take the argument to voice chat in the discord, even though they was debating me ardently in text. Atleast I got a fan out of it.

Tldr: Nordic nations, Australians and Europeans like racial shock humor, and people balk at actually changing their views and arguing when they realize the opposition is actually intelligent.

I understand you are dyslexic, but you should at least try to read.

Glad to hear that you went back and made amends. It sounds like ultimately you were able to find at least some common ground, and hopefully you will all be better friends for it.
