*shrugs* we make our own travel plans. Not interested in resorts or tourist crap, so we use hotels.com and booking.com to find lodging and TripAdvisor and Google to find shit we'd wanna do in whatever city we're travelling to.

i stayed at a 5 star, luxury business hotel in korea for F R E E in april. and i had status with them so i got free bar passes and access to their business lounge. they even gave me a free cake for my birthday. i was treated like royalty. didn't pay a dime.

This totally happened.

And even if it actually did, you know damn well that the average person on a trip has no practical reason to pay out the ass for a fancy resort when that money can go towards the actual meat of the vacation.
