It wouldn't take that long for births and creation of life to catch up again. Considering we had 3 billion people on earth in the 1950's and now its 7 billion

Thanos is crazy, so it's not like his plan had any sense behind it.

i don't think he can abuse the snap. in infinity war it damaged the gauntlet and took a huge toll on thanos.

I'm not sure if it took a huge toll on Thanos when he took like a Stormbreaker to the chest and was still able to snap, kill half the universe, disappear, regenerate, and chill on some farmlands right after.

But yeah the gauntlet is obviously a problem but... I mean it's gonna take a while for the population to reach the dangerous level. Plenty of time for Thanos to just find the means to produce it again

If half the population of Earth were removed right now, it would take approximately 60 years for the population to double back to its previous level. That's not even counting for an increase in birth rates that would happen when resources are freed up for the surviving people.

you don't really see it in the movie but the snap screwed up thanos's arm bad. the screenwriters said so in a post-release interview. the only reason he's still alive is because he's powerful af even without the gauntlet.

Imagine being in class and you suddenly start seeing a bunch of your classmates vanishing, maybe even your teacher. Or if you're a teacher, seeing that happen to all your students. Or being a mother holding your newborn baby and it suddenly vanishes into dust. Thanos is fucked up, yo.

I dont think hes evil, because he does have the universes best interests in mind.
He is definitely making the wrong decision and has to be stopped however.

Most people would have no idea what happened and why it happened.

Well the remaining Avengers would've definitely told the people of Earth, and Thanos's plan to collect the Infinity Stones wasn't a secret, so people around the galaxy would've heard about it.

Republicans would just say it wasn't caused by human action, and if it was, it's too late to do anything about it

If the snap was on a universal scale, it's very possible that earth or any other planet lost more or less of its population. Maybe 90% of people on earth got snapped. It could take a bit longer to get those numbers back up. That and when the survivors learn the reason why they all died, they may be less likely to breed.
